NanoViricides, Inc. operates as a nano-biopharmaceutical entity, specializing in the research, development, and market introduction of pharmaceutical solutions to combat viral infections. The company's robust product pipeline includes a Human Coronavirus Program, specifically engineered to tackle both COVID-19 and various seasonal coronaviruses. For herpes-related conditions, it offers HerpeCide in multiple forms: dermal topical and eye drops to treat ailments such as shingles, postherpetic neuralgia (PHN), chickenpox, recurrent herpes labialis, genital herpes, and ocular herpes keratitis. An intraocular injectable version of HerpeCide is also under development for viral acute retinal necrosis. Another significant therapeutic candidate is FluCide, a broad-spectrum anti-influenza nanoviricide, designed for both hospitalized patients via injection and outpatients through an oral formulation. NanoViricides also develops specialized nanoviricide eye drops for viral diseases affecting the external eye, DengueCide for various strains of Dengue viruses, and HIVCide, an anti-HIV nanoviricide specifically engineered to resist viral escape. Furthermore, the company is actively advancing additional nanoviricide drug projects targeting a diverse range of viruses and indications, alongside expanding its HerpeCide program to encompass a broader spectrum of herpes viruses and associated conditions. NanoViricides, Inc. was established in 2005 and maintains its corporate headquarters in Shelton, Connecticut.
