Avalon Holdings Corporation (AWX) is an American company specializing in environmental services for a diverse client base spanning industrial, commercial, municipal, and government sectors. The company's operations are divided into two primary divisions: Waste Management Services, and Golf and Related Operations. Within its Waste Management Services segment, the company facilitates the brokerage and management of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal. This includes overseeing captive landfill operations and engaging in saltwater injection well activities. Additionally, this division delivers comprehensive turnkey solutions encompassing daily operational oversight, facility management, and detailed reporting, alongside the sale of construction mats. The Golf and Related Operations segment is responsible for the operation and management of four golf courses, complete with their clubhouses, in addition to a hotel and a travel agency. These golf and country club venues offer a wide array of amenities, such as swimming pools, fitness centers, tennis courts, dining options, banquet and conference spaces, and spa treatments. Furthermore, the company owns and operates The Grand Resort, a hotel that boasts an extensive suite of facilities, including accommodations, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a bathhouse, fitness center, restaurants, bars, a cigar lounge, a salon and spa, banquet and conference facilities, and an adjacent tennis center. Established in 1998, Avalon Holdings Corporation maintains its corporate headquarters in Warren, Ohio.
