AmeriServ Financial, Inc. operates as the holding company for AmeriServ Financial Bank, providing a broad spectrum of financial products to individual consumers, mortgage borrowers, and commercial clients. Its retail banking services encompass various deposit accounts, including checking, money market, savings, and time deposits. The bank also offers personal lending solutions such as secured and unsecured consumer loans, mortgage financing, and ancillary services like safe deposit boxes, holiday club accounts, and money orders. For its commercial, industrial, financial, and governmental customers, AmeriServ delivers extensive lending and treasury services. These include commercial real estate and construction loans, short and medium-term financing, revolving credit lines, and funding for inventory and accounts receivable. Additionally, it provides business savings accounts, certificates of deposit, wire transfers, and secure depository options like night drops and lockbox services. The company's trust department offers personal trust services, covering investment portfolio management, estate planning and administration, custodial services, and pre-need trusts. Institutional trust offerings include the management of 401(k)s, defined benefit and defined contribution employee benefit plans, and individual retirement accounts. AmeriServ also provides financial advisory services through the sale of mutual funds, annuities, and insurance products. A notable offering is its union collective investment funds, which channel union pension capital into construction projects employing union labor. The firm also engages in underwriting credit life and disability insurance as a reinsurer.
